PANDEMIC SERIES
Introducing a project to explore the systemic and existential implications
of the COVID-19 pandemic with creative thinkers around the world.
As curators of immersions–based on the notion that value is derived from tangible, shared moments–the Coronavirus pandemic and ensuing social isolation presented not only a challenge to our business but the threat of the rapidly accelerating technocratic future.
However, the extreme circumstances also provided an unusual opportunity to reveal what emerging factors in the world matter most, and how we ought to respond as creative thinkers. We conducted interviews with over a dozen designers, strategists, entrepreneurs, urban planners, professors, and more in eleven cities.
Forthcoming films in this series deal with related implications of the pandemic including inequity, corporate responsibility, resilient strategies, and design.
The series was created from interviews conducted between March and May 2020 during the global lockdowns implemented to combat the spread of COVID-19.
